Description
Mechanical connector for flat and/or round conductors (round up to 70 mm² – flat up to 30 mm wide). It is made of tin-plated copper to prevent premature corrosion and is supplied with stainless steel clamping screws. The connector measures 18 x 50 x 50 mm and weighs 0.140 kg. This product complies with EN 62561-1, IEC 62305, and NFC 17-102:2011 standards, as well as equivalent standards in other countries.
A tinned copper fitting is used in lightning rod grounding installations as well as for overhead connections between grounding conductors. Its main functions are:
– Connection of Conductors: It ensures the connection between flat or round electrical conductors, guaranteeing reliable electrical continuity.
– Improved Safety: It ensures a good connection between the components of the lightning rod grounding system, thus improving the dissipation of electrical currents, especially in the event of lightning.
– Corrosion Resistance: Although bare copper is already conductor and corrosion resistant, surface tinning enhances this resistance, which is crucial for the longevity of outdoor or underground installations.
