Description
Copper-plated steel earthing rod with a standard 250 µm electrolytic copper coating. This rod, which is 1500 mm long, has an actual diameter of 17.2 mm and a nominal diameter of 19 mm, and weighs 2.780 kg. It conforms to UL SPEC 467, IEC 62305 (and by extension NF C 17:102:2011).
Extendable earthing rods with threaded sleeves are an effective solution for lightning rod grounding, offering numerous advantages:
Modular Installation: These rods allow for adjustable installation depth. Thanks to the threaded sleeves, sections can easily be added or removed to achieve the required depth, which is advantageous in areas where the depth of the conductor layer varies.
– Practical Transport and Handling: Rods in separate sections are easier to transport and handle, especially in hard-to-reach or remote locations, compared to long monolithic rods.
– Robust and Reliable Connection: The use of threaded sleeves ensures a solid and durable connection between sections, thus guaranteeing optimal mechanical and electrical continuity for system performance.
– Adaptability to Various Terrains: These rods allow flexibility in installation on terrains with varied characteristics, offering the possibility of adjusting the length of the rod according to needs.
– Simplified Maintenance: The modular design facilitates assembly, disassembly, inspection, and maintenance operations, without requiring complete removal of the rod.
– Increased Durability: The robustness of the threaded sleeves makes these rods particularly suitable for demanding environments, such as hard or rocky soils.
– Compliance with Safety Standards: These rods meet current safety standards, ensuring reliable conduction of electricity due to lightning.
