Description

Solid Round Bare Copper Conductor for Lightning Protection:

  • Made of 8mm diameter red copper
  • Ideal for the demolition of historical monuments.
  • Aesthetically discreet and malleable.
  • Less suitable for industrial use or when traveling close to metallic masses.
  • It can be easily installed on various surfaces using plastic staples or dedicated clips.
  • Presented in wreaths of approximately 50 meters, it weighs 22 kg.

Features and Benefits:

1-Multipurpose Use:

– First, we use the 8 mm solid round copper conductor in red copper as an overhead or buried lightning down conductor.

– It corrodes (“verdigris”) quite quickly and can cause greenish streaks on walls and roofs.

2-Fixation and support:

– The 8 mm solid round copper is simply fixed from the lightning rod with a lightning rod/conductor fitting.

– The conductor is attached to the masts and tubular structures, for example with hose clamps or strapping.

– We provide support on the roof with concrete blocks or with tile clips.

– Vertical fixing (example: walls, partitions) is achieved with cleats and plugs, clips, plastic staples or collars (depending on the support).

3-High Efficiency:

– Copper is an excellent electrical conductor.

– Its skin diameter is sufficient to channel the lightning current.

4-Applications:

– This 8 mm solid round copper conductor is used for lightning current downfeeds.

– Also used for lightning rod earth connections of type A (A1 and A2) and B.

5-Compliance and Safety:

– This product complies with EN 62561-2 standards and therefore also with NFC 17-102:2011, IEC 62305 standards.

6-Availability:

– We don't use this driver very often, so our stock is quite low. Place your orders in advance.

– Made in France, therefore it is a highly reliable product.

7-Prices:

Our prices depend on copper prices, so they vary almost daily.

However, the price/quality ratio of this product is excellent.

In conclusion, it is a good conductor for a lightning rod

The electrical conductivity of this tinned copper conductor is excellent. However, it corrodes rapidly ("verdigris"), resulting in some greenish stains that are not always aesthetically pleasing. Finally, this conductor is quite suitable for lightning rod installations on historical monuments. Other conductors are available in our store.
