A good grounding conductor for projects on historic monuments:

This solid round conductor, made of red copper (bare copper), offers excellent electrical conductivity and average corrosion resistance (appearance of “verdigris” over time). The tin-plated equivalent (protection against corrosion is offered in our catalog. Compliance with EN 62561-2, NFC 17-102:2011 and IEC 62305 standards and equivalent country standards

Description

Solid Round Bare Copper Conductor for Lightning Protection:

  • Made of 8mm diameter red copper
  • Ideal for grounding historical monuments.
  • Aesthetically discreet and malleable.
  • Less suitable for industry or when traveling close to metal masses.
  • Easily installs on various supports with plastic staples or dedicated clips.
  • Presented in crowns of approximately 50 meters, weighs 22 kg.

Features and Benefits:

1-Versatile use:

– We first use the 8 mm solid round copper conductor in red copper as an overhead or buried lightning down conductor.

– It corrodes (“verdigris”) quite quickly and can cause greenish drips on walls and roofs.

2-Fixing and maintenance:

– We simply attach the 8 mm solid round copper from the lightning rod with a lightning rod/conductor connection.

– The conductor is fixed to the masts and tubular structures, for example with clamps or strapping straps.

– We provide roof support with concrete blocks or with tile clips.

– Vertical fixing is carried out (example: walls, walls) with crampons and dowels, clips, plastic staples or collars (depending on the support).

3-High Efficiency:

– Copper is an excellent electrical conductor.

– Its skin diameter is sufficient to channel the lightning current.

4-Applications:

– This 8 mm solid round copper conductor is used for lightning current drops.

– Also used for type A (A1 and A2) and B grounding conductor earth connections.

5-Compliance and Security:

– This product complies with EN 62561-2 standards and therefore also NFC 17-102:2011, IEC 62305 standards.

6-Availability:

– We use this driver infrequently so our stock is quite low. Anticipate your orders.

– Made in France therefore it is a high trust product.

7-Prices:

Our prices depend on copper prices so they vary almost daily.

However, the quality/price ratio of this product is excellent.

In conclusion, it is a good conductor for lightning rod

The electrical conductivity of this tinned copper conductor is excellent. However, its corrosion is rapid (“verdigris”), hence some greenish stains which are not always of the best effect. Finally, this conductor is quite suitable for lightning rod installations on historical monuments. Others conductors are available in our store.
