Description
The initial verification is carried out after the completion of the installation work of the lightning protection system with triggering
advance.
Its objective is to ensure that the entire installation
complies with current standards, as well as the execution file.
The points checked are as follows:
– the Early Streamer Emitter Lightning Rod (ESE) is located at least 2 m above any object located in the protected area;
– the ESE has the characteristics indicated in the execution file;
– the number of grounding conductors;
– the conformity of the components of the Lightning Protection System with triggering advance to this document, to the standards of the NF EN 50164, NF EN 61643 series, by marking by declaration or by documentation;
– the routing, location and electrical continuity of the grounding conductors;
– the fastening of the different components;
– separation distances and/or equipotential connections;
– the resistance of the earthing system;
– the equipotentiality of the earth connection of the SPF with that of the building.
In all cases, when a conductor is partially or totally integrated, it is appropriate
that its electrical continuity is checked.
