External protection against lightning using a lightning rod must be checked every year and after each lightning strike to ensure that it is functioning properly.
After an inspection, it is imperative to immediately correct any defects found in order to maintain optimal efficiency.

A verification of your IEPF must be carried out within the
following cases:
- Initially, upon completion of the IEPF,
- Periodically (at least every 12 months),
- Each time the protected structure is modified or repaired,
- When the facility was struck by lightning.
Each periodic audit must be documented with a detailed report detailing all audit results and corrective actions to be taken.
