Description
Accessory for grounding systems. The section of the straps is 3×3 mm, with dimensions of 1000×1000 mm (LxW), and weighs 4.5 kg. The grid is designed to improve grounding in lightning protection systems.
A copper grid will be preferred under the following conditions, compared to a lightning rod earthing system with rods:
– Low Conductivity Ground: In areas where the ground is poor in natural conductors, such as in rocky or sandy soils, a copper grid can provide better current dispersion.
– Ease of implementation: In rocky or very hard soils, if driving rods is difficult or even impossible, a solution based on an earth grid is often preferred.
– Large Area Needs: A grid covers a larger area, which is beneficial for larger structures or areas requiring wider current dispersion.
– Renovation of an earth connection: An earth connection can sometimes be easier to renovate and maintain within normative requirements thanks to the addition of an earth grid.
– Specific Regulations: Certain standards or regulations may require the use of copper grid for safety or compliance reasons.
Each situation must be evaluated individually to determine the most appropriate lightning rod grounding solution.
