The lightning rod conductor for ultra-corrosive atmospheres:
This flat conductor, made of 30×2 mm stainless steel, offers sufficient and compliant electrical conductivity to propagate lightning current and very high corrosion resistance, making it ideally suited to extreme environments. It conforms to EN 62561-2, NFC 17-102:2011 and IEC 62305 standards and equivalent national standards
The 30×2 mm stainless steel flat conductor is highly corrosion-resistant. This makes it ideal for lightning protection systems operating in harsh environments. However, selecting appropriate fixings for the substrate is crucial (fixing options include clips, plastic staples, cable ties, etc.).
This product is packaged in coils of approximately 30 meters (weight: approximately 25 kgs) or 60 meters (weight: approximately 50 kgs).
The 30×2 mm stainless steel flat conductor is used as an overhead down conductor and also as an underground lightning rod grounding conductor. Finally, this conductor is sometimes used for Equipotential Spark Gap. It is the best conductor for lightning current in highly corrosive environments.
It guarantees high safety and durability as it complies with EN 62561-2, NFC 17-102:2011 and IEC 62305 standards.
The electrical conductivity of this stainless steel conductor is sufficient. Furthermore, its excellent corrosion resistance ensures significant durability. However, its weight and price are very high compared to tinned copper, for example.
Therefore, it is primarily used for lightning protection installations in highly corrosive environments. Other conductors are available in our shop.
