Description
Stainless Steel Lightning Rod Elevating Mast – Second Element:
This second lightning rod elevation mast element is made of stainless steel. Therefore, it is used in corrosive atmospheres. It has a length of 2.00 meters and an outer diameter of 35 mm. This mast is specially designed to fit the first element mast stainless steel for the elevation of ESE Ellips® and Paraton@ir® Early Streamer Emission (ESE) lightning rods.
Facility:
Its installation is easy and safe for raising a lightning rod to approximately 3.8 meters (for example, a lightning rod on a house). Longitudinal clamping screws are used to secure the first and second mast sections. Furthermore, this mast simply needs to be assembled with a third element to reach a total elevation (height) of 5.7 meters (For example: Lightning rod on a hospital, factory, building…).
Finally, we also offer a galvanized steel versionwith an attractive price/performance ratio. Indeed, this version is ideal for environments where the risk of corrosion is low to medium.
Lightning Rod Elevation – Increased Protection Radius:
To further increase the height, a third mast section is added, bringing the total to 5.7 meters. The modular design of this assembly thus ensures remarkable flexibility to meet the needs of achieving greater height Protection Radius with a Protection Level constant.
Choose a system of mast fixings tailored to your project.
Stable and robust, our lightning rod elevation mast generally does not require a guying kit when used with our early streamer emission (ESE) lightning rods.
Benefits:
Thus, the lightning rod elevation mast plays several key roles in lightning protection. It expands the protection zone by raising the lightning rod above the structures to be protected. Consequently, the radius of lightning protection coverage is effectively increased.
Its placement is therefore optimized to more effectively intercept atmospheric electrical discharges, thus providing better protection. The lightning rod captures and channels the direct impacts of lightning and its energy away from vulnerable areas, thereby protecting the underlying structure.
Namely:
In addition to its function, the design of the lightning rod's lifting mast has been carefully considered. Indeed, its aesthetics are designed to harmonize with the surrounding architecture, combining protection and style. (House, Historic Building, Hospital, Apartment Building, Factory…)
Thanks to its material and cross-section, this mast is a "natural conductor". (IEC 62305 and NFC 17-102:2011 standards)
Finally, for even greater integration, the mast can be painted. This allows it to be adapted to the specific requirements or needs of the project's architecture.
