Upkeep and maintenance of your lightning protection installation are also necessary to preserve your manufacturer and installer warranties.

Why use the receiver Dongl@ir® ?
The system Contact@ir® used with receiver Dongl@ir® allows you to check that your product is working properly.
Data transmission is done by radio waves, without any physical link between the transmitter Contact@ir® and the receiver Dongl@ir® .
In this way Dongl@ir® simplifies and secures the diagnosis of a product that is often difficult to access, with the worker no longer having to put themselves in a dangerous situation to reach it.
Dongl@ir® is a means of punctual diagnosis. It is used close to the product (80 m maximum).
In a few seconds, your product is identified and the result of its diagnosis appears on your screen. You then know immediately whether intervention on your installation is necessary or not.
What materials are needed?
The transmitter Contact@ir® connects to products Contact@ir® Ready.
Contact@ir® can be placed on the product Contact@ir® Ready during assembly or at any time during the life of the installation. If the transmitter is defective you do not need to change the entire system, you only need to replace the Contact@ir®.
Dongl@ir® comes in the form of a USB key and plugs in:
– On your Android tablet or mobile with a microUSB adapter. The information will then be read on the application Contact@ir® App.
– On one of the USB ports on your PC or MAC. The information will then be read on the software Contact@ir® Soft.
Dongl@ir® allows for the identification and diagnosis of all products Contact@ir® Ready for which you own the rights.
When to perform a diagnosis with the receiver Dongl@ir® ?
With Dongl@ir® you can carry out a diagnosis when you are near your installation to check its reliability.
The circumstances requiring verification of your lightning protection installation are listed in the text of standard NFC 17-102 in article 8.2:
- Periodically in order to be able to anticipate and prevent the natural wear and tear of your installation,
- After a storm or any other climatic phenomenon potentially harmful to your lightning protection installation,
- Each time the protected structure is modified or repaired.
What information will I get with the receiver Dongl@ir® ?
Whether you use Contact@ir® Soft Or Contact@ir® App you will get the following information:
Identification :
- The serial number of the Compt@ir® or Paraton@ir® ,
- The type and color of Paraton@ir®,
- The serial number of the transmitter,
- Any notes previously entered.
Diagnostic :
- Quality of communication,
- Product integrity,
- How the product works.
History:
- Chronology of previous diagnostics by product,
- Results of these diagnostics,
- Notes from previous users,
All information collected during diagnostics is automatically dated, recorded and historicized. They are necessary for establishing documents related to the execution, verification and maintenance of your installation.
These documents are required by standard NFC 17-102 (art. 8.1 to 8.7).
What to do if the diagnosis reveals critical information?
In this case, it is imperative that a complete check of your installation be carried out.
The complete verification procedure appears in the NFC 17-102 standard (art. 8.5 and 8.6) and is included in the FT-LPSFR-11 technical sheet.
This verification is an essential condition for preserving your guarantees.
